HPF Parts

Introduction

Anyone who is serious about experimenting with electronics, computers, or radio has a junk box—or two, or three, or ten... or a room, shed, or garage...You know  what I'm talking about. These are the places where you squirrel away the RF transistors you got a great deal on, the power supply you salvaged from an old computer, or that sweet treadmill motor that you rescued from somebody else's garbage can. It's all stuff that's perfect for the tech projects that you're going to do "someday."

Unfortunately, if you're like me, you've noticed that reality ends up placing constraints on your dreams. There are endless projects to occupy our minds, but in the end time is limited, and so is storage space. Rather than let project treasures accumulate, it's sometimes best to choose where we shall focus our efforts and divest ourselves of those items that won't advance our immediate objectives.

So having said that, let me welcome you to my surplus page. Here I intend to post offerings of parts, materials, or equipment that might be of interest to other experimenters or hobbyists. Before reviewing the surplus items below, please read and understand my terms and conditions in the section at the bottom of the page.

Contact Information

If you are interested in anything on this page, please contact me through this email: Make sure you have read my terms and conditions first.

Terms and Conditions

My terms and conditions are simple. Please understand them before contacting me. If you contact me about items here, it will be presumed that you have read and agreed to these terms.

  • This is not a business. Think "garage sale," "flea market", or "hamfest." It's supposed to be fun.
  • I do my best to accurately describe whatever is posted here, but all items are offered AS-IS with no warranty of any kind. All sales or trades are final.
  • Prices are as marked. In some cases, I'll invite offers. I may be willing to trade for something of equal value. Examples of items I might be interested in include core memory, early radio receivers/equipment (<1925), certain morse keys, QRP radio gear, antique science equipment or old technical books.
  • For priced items, they will be distributed on a first-come, first serve basis. For make-offer items, they'll be distributed on a first-best-offer basis.  If an item is listed it may still be available. If it's not, I don't have it anymore. Thus, if you see something you like, don't procrastinate!
  • For payment I prefer cashier's checks or money orders. No personal checks, please.
  • Buyer pays shipping. I can box things, measure and weigh them, and tell you what UPS will likely charge. If the actual shipping turns out to be a little more than the estimate, I'll eat the difference. For small items, it might make sense to use one of the post office's fixed-rate boxes.
  • If you want insurance on a package, let me know. Otherwise, once a package has been dropped off with UPS or USPS, I'm done with it, and assume no further responsibility for it.
  • This is important: You agree to hold me free from any liability of any kind associated with the acquisition or use of any item purchased from or traded with me. If, for example, your home-built domestic android goes on a murderous rampage because of a transistor or circuit board I sent you, well, you're on your own.
